English Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of English to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with a reputable secondary school in the Halesowen area, starting in September 2024 on a full-time basis.

As a Teacher of English with Zest Education, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and educating students in a vibrant and supportive learning environment. The school is located in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced and hard-working environment, the school supports training and development for all of its staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join them.

Key responsibilities:
– Plan and teach engaging lessons that motivate the students in your subject and cater to the needs of diverse learners
– Mark and assess students work and track student progression
– Have excellent curriculum knowledge that continues to develop with the advances in the subject – particularly the new and engaging ways to teach English as the subject continues to evolve.
– Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
