Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism (ASC)? Zest Education is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a special educational needs school in Derby. This full-time position offers an immediate start with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
As an English Teacher at this school, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and social development of children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism. The school prides itself on guiding students towards success, fostering their aspirations, and instilling pride in their accomplishments.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the unique needs and abilities of our students. Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement is key to this role.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
– Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably in a diverse classroom setting

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
