English Teacher

Zest Education have the pleasure of working closely with a high performing secondary school in the Norton Canes area. This school is looking to recruit a full time English Teacher to start February 2025 in an ongoing position.

The school was rated ‘good’ in their latest Ofsted inspection and are on track to provide and exceptional level of education to every student. They have a proven track record with success with recent students achieving the best grades seen for years and every student is guided on the path to becoming a respectable young person.

Candidates should be confident and experienced at teaching English to a KS4 Level, A level (KS5)  experience would also be beneficial. The desire to work as part of the wider English department, planning creative lessons and being adaptable is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (knowledge of KS5 would be an advantage)
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
