Zest Education are currently looking for an English teacher, to teach across KS3- KS5, in a large secondary school in Birmingham city centre. The role will start in September 2022, on a full-time basis, this will be for a minimum of one term.

The school has a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL students. The school has a great ethos, by building supportive and positive relationships, and encouraging all students to succeed personally and academically.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • Confidence in classroom behaviour management
  • Capable to plan, mark and deliver excellent quality lessons
  • A great passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 – KS5
  • Happy to be a part of a strong team environment/ good team ethos.

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
