Zest Education are proud to be working closely with an OFSTED ‘outstanding’ secondary school within the Aston area.

The school are looking for an English teacher who can demonstrate the ability to think strategically, creatively and to prioritise their workload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with being resilient and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum and be able to teach across KS3-KS5.

The English department within the school enable students to be:

  • imaginative, articulate and reflective as well as confident and secure in their thoughts, opinions and expression;
  • focused, engaging and nuanced communicators in spoken and written word;
  • inspired to explore complex ideas and material; · resilient when faced with challenges; and
  • sensitive to the moral, spiritual and emotional experiences prompted by the subject.

The school is part of an academy trust that continues to deliver the curriculum and to develop an ethos that demonstrates a commitment to supporting children from all backgrounds to reach their potential.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

 

This is a full-time role that will start in September 2022 for one academic year.

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
