Zest Education are recruiting for an English Teacher, to teach across KS3 and KS4, in a “Good” Ofsted rated secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield. The role will start in October 2022 and will be for a minimum of one term. You would be working up to 3 days a week of your choosing.

This good school is constantly improving their academic and attainment levels and are always looking to ensure their students develop into positive, inspiring and respectable individuals, so that they excel in the future. The successful candidate will be joining a well-supported departmental team and have access to good facilities to produce creative lessons.

The school are looking for someone that is hard working, enthusiastic, confident and someone that can engage with children that have different learning needs.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
