EYFS Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently recruiting for a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Burton-on-Trent from September 2025. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for someone with a passion for early years education and a commitment to providing a strong foundation for young learners.

 Role Details:

This full-time position is based in a friendly primary school in Burton-on-Trent, beginning in September. You will be responsible for leading a Reception or Nursery class, delivering a broad and balanced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development through play-based and structured learning.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years framework

  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Supporting children’s early development in phonics, maths, and personal skills

  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate observations and records

 Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)

  • Experience working within an EYFS setting

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development

  • A caring, creative, and proactive approach

  • A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
