Zest Education is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a remarkable school in Burton on Trent. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team, working Monday to Wednesday on a part-time basis from April 2024 until the end of the academic year.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant in this nurturing and inclusive environment, you will play a vital role in fostering the happiness and well-being of both children and staff. This school prioritises laying the foundation for essential life skills, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. With a commitment to continuous improvement in academic and attainment levels, the school provides a diverse and comprehensive curriculum that offers pupils unlimited opportunities for their educational, social, and emotional development.
To be successful in this position you should have had experience working within a primary school setting preferably with Early Years students. The successful candidate should be passionate, dedicated to the role and the support they are providing these students in the earliest days of their education.
Responsibilities for an EYFS Teaching Assistant:
– Support the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
– Assist in creating a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
– Work closely with individual children or small groups to provide tailored support and encouragement in their learning journey.
– Monitor and assess children’s progress, keeping detailed records to inform future planning and interventions.
– Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s development.
– Help with daily routines, such as snack time, outdoor play, and transitions between activities, to maintain a structured and nurturing atmosphere.
– Stay up-to-date with EYFS guidelines and best practices to continuously improve teaching methods and outcomes for children.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
