Zest Education are currently recruiting a hardworking Teaching Assistant to join a school in Northfield on a part-time basis. You will be required to assist throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) on a regular Monday and Tuesday. This position can start in October 2024.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in carrying out lessons plans and activities as well as help them to prepare the classroom and resources.
  • Assist students individually or in small groups whilst working under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with students.
  • Liaise with colleagues, senior leaders and parents/guardians providing updates regarding the behaviour and progress of the students.
  • Promote good behaviour and help the teacher set reasonable expectations for student’s behaviour.
  • Boost students self-esteem and confidence while actively working to advance their social, emotional and academic development.

You must:

  • Have previous experience within an educational setting or working with children.
  • Possess excelling communication skills including verbal and written as well as active listening skills.
  • Have the capacity to work independently as well as in a coordinated team .
  • Genuine passions for working with children and helping them succeed in all aspects of development.
  • Own an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
