EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Balsall Heath, Birmingham

Start Date: 5th January 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:40pm
Additional Duties: Lunchtime supervision twice per week
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

About the Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher and EYFS team.
  • Create an engaging learning environment.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to help every child reach their potential.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
  • Supervise lunchtime twice a week to ensure a safe and structured break.
  • Be prepared to support with personal care and toilet training.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working within an EYFS setting.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and show initiative.
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to supporting young children.
