Zest Education are currently recruiting a hardworking Teaching Assistant to join a school in Rubery on a part-time basis. You will be required to assist throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) on a regular Monday and Tuesday. This position is due to start as soon as possible and is ongoing.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in carrying out lessons plans and activities as well as help them to prepare the classroom and resources.
  • Assist students individually or in small groups whilst working under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with students.
  • Liaise with colleagues, senior leaders and parents/guardians providing updates regarding the behaviour and progress of the students.
  • Promote good behaviour and help the teacher set reasonable expectations for student’s behaviour.
  • Boost students self-esteem and confidence while actively working to advance their social, emotional and academic development.

You must:

  • Have previous experience within an educational setting or working with children.
  • Possess excelling communication skills including verbal and written as well as active listening skills.
  • Have the capacity to work independently as well as in a coordinated team .
  • Genuine passions for working with children and helping them succeed in all aspects of development.
  • Own an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
