We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team from September. This is a full-time role for the autumn term, with the potential to extend into January 2026.

About the Role:

  • Work closely with the class teacher and an experienced TA to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

  • Support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS framework.

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, including personal care when required.

  • Contribute positively to the wider school team and adapt flexibly to meet the needs of the children.

About You:

  • A team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to children’s wellbeing and learning.

  • Previous experience in an EYFS setting is highly desirable.

  • Comfortable supporting pupils with additional needs and delivering personal care when necessary.

  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to use your initiative in a busy classroom environment.

Location:

Bournville, South Birmingham – easily accessible via public transport and road links.

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract Length: Autumn Term, with the possibility of extension into January 2026

  • Hours: Full time (school hours, Monday to Friday)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
