We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team from September. This is a full-time role for the autumn term, with the potential to extend into January 2026.
About the Role:
Work closely with the class teacher and an experienced TA to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS framework.
Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, including personal care when required.
Contribute positively to the wider school team and adapt flexibly to meet the needs of the children.
About You:
A team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to children’s wellbeing and learning.
Previous experience in an EYFS setting is highly desirable.
Comfortable supporting pupils with additional needs and delivering personal care when necessary.
Reliable, adaptable, and able to use your initiative in a busy classroom environment.
Location:
Bournville, South Birmingham – easily accessible via public transport and road links.
Contract Details:
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Length: Autumn Term, with the possibility of extension into January 2026
Hours: Full time (school hours, Monday to Friday)

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
