Zest are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a Early Years class at a lovely school just outside Shard End. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a  friendly and supportive team, helping to nurture and inspire the youngest pupils as they begin their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Provide individual and group support to children, ensuring all pupils have the opportunity to achieve their potential.
  • Help create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment.
  • Support the social and emotional development of children, fostering a sense of confidence and independence.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources, and assist in maintaining a tidy, organized classroom.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Supervise children during playtime, mealtime, and other activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children in a school or nursery setting.
  • A relevant qualification in early years education (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare).
  • A warm, caring, and patient nature.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is desirable.
