Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in Sutton Coldfield. The school have asked for our help in finding a Food Technology and Textiles teacher, that can teach across KS3-KS4. The position will be full time and will start as soon as possible and will continue for the rest of the academic year.

The school is centred in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The school also offers great indoor and outdoor facilities to allow for fun and creative lessons. The successful candidate will be joining a well-supported departmental team, that put the students at the centre of everything they do, so that they excel into confident young adults.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Food Technology and Textiles and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
