Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Handsworth. The school have asked us to find a Food Technology Teacher, that can teach across KS3-KS4. This position will start ASAP, and will continue until February half term, full time.
The school is situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The school offers great indoor and outdoor facilities, to allow for creative and fun lessons. The successful candidate will also be joining a supportive departmental team that’s main ethos is to encourage all their students to develop into positive, and confident young adults.
The successful applicant will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of Food Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students
Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
