Zest Education are working closely with a busy Secondary School, based in Marston Green, who are looking to recruit a Food Technology Teacher to start in November 2023. This is a full-time role for initially one term but there is a strong possibility that this may extend for the full academic year.
The ideal candidate will have excellent Food Technology subject knowledge as well as knowledge of another Design and Technology discipline as a second subject. The school have had a recent investment in their resources, so lessons can become more dynamic and creative.
The successful applicant will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS.
- A strong passion for Food Technology and a substantial knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4.
- A strong desire to be part of the wider D&T department.
- The ability to control the classroom and the behaviour of the students.
- A creative mind with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed to suit the needs of the students.
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
Rates of pay will vary depending on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
