Zest Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a Secondary School in the Solihull area. This is a full-time role where the planning and supervision of practical lessons will be required. This role is due to commence in September 2024, and will run for a minimum of one term.

Responsibilities:

– Design and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to secondary school students
– Create lesson plans that adhere to the national curriculum and tailored to meet students’ individual needs
– Demonstrate strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and structured learning environment
– Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their culinary skills and knowledge
– Promote a safe and healthy working environment within the Food Technology classroom, adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or relevant teaching qualifications
– Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology or related areas
– Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students
– Ability to plan and deliver practical lessons effectively
– Good organisational and time-management skills
– Commitment to the well-being and academic success of students
