Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school, close to Walsall. The school are looking for a Food Technology Teacher, to start in September 2024, to teach across KS3 and KS4. You would be working up to 3 days a week, of your choosing, for a minimum of one term, but for the right candidate this is likely to be extended.

The school is a busy secondary, which caters for a broad range of students, including a high number of EAL pupils. The school encourage all their students to aspire to be the best that they can be and support all their students in their personal and academic achievements.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Food Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
