French Teacher

Zest Education are currently working closely with a secondary school located in the Staffordshire area, the school has an urgent requirement for a French speaking Teacher. This role will be on a full-time basis for one school term initially and is set to start in September 2024.

The school are ideally looking for a French teacher who is passionate about positively influencing the student’s young lives. The school was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in their last inspection and measure their success by the progress that every pupil makes across every subject, this measures the value that staff add to the students educational journeys regardless of their abilities.

The successful applicant will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for the subject of French and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (knowledge of Spanish curriculum would be an advantage but is not a necessity)
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay vary dependant on experience

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
