Position: Full-Time 1:1 Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Zest are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team and support a Year 3 pupil on a 1:1 basis.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a 1:1 Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to a Year 3 pupil, assisting with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the pupil’s needs.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and general administrative tasks.
  • Monitor the pupil’s progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and parents.
  • Support the pupil during break and lunch times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.


  • Experience working with primary school children, ideally in a 1:1 support role.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.


  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
