A vibrant and inclusive primary school nestled in the heart of Erdington, Birmingham. Are committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment, Zest are seeking a dedicated KS1 Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join the school in September 2024.

Position Overview: As a KS1 Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the teaching and learning activities within our Key Stage 1 classrooms. You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to deliver engaging and effective lessons, providing valuable assistance to ensure the academic and personal development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering creative and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to pupils who require additional assistance, ensuring that all children are given equal opportunities to thrive.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
  • Help to maintain a safe and organized learning environment, implementing school policies and procedures to promote student welfare and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and partnership in supporting the holistic development of each child.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a KS1 setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their educational development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or related fields would be advantageous.

Pay will start from £75 per day based on references provided and experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
