Full-time Nursery Practitioner

About the role

A warm, nurturing and well‑established nursery setting is looking for a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator to join their team. The nursery is seeking someone with strong SEND experience, who can confidently support children with additional needs while contributing to a positive, play‑based learning environment.

You’ll be working with children aged 0–5, supporting their development through high‑quality interactions, planned activities and a child‑centred approach. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about early years, confident in their practice and committed to helping every child thrive.

Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
• SEND experience is essential
• Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Ability to support children with additional needs through tailored strategies
• A warm, nurturing and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow routines, plan activities and use initiative
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing

Day‑to‑day duties

• Supporting children aged 0–5 with play, learning and daily routines
• Providing tailored support to children with SEND
• Planning and delivering age‑appropriate activities in line with EYFS
• Building strong, positive relationships with children and families
• Supporting communication, social skills and emotional regulation
• Assisting with personal care, meal times and transitions
• Working collaboratively with the nursery team to maintain a safe, inclusive environment
• Observing and recording children’s progress

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
