Zest Education is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a Nursery class at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Burton. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to support children with additional needs, specifically around speech and language development, and make a real difference in their early education journey.

Role Overview:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with speech, language, and communication needs within the Nursery class.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual support plans.

  • Encourage children’s social, emotional, and academic development through play-based learning.

  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support classroom routines, learning activities, and the development of key early learning skills.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly speech and language difficulties.

  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine passion for Early Years education and inclusive learning.

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in a school or nursery setting are desirable.
