Full Time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Teaching Assistant to join our team at a challenging school in Handsworth. The role is to start as soon as possible on a long term basis.

In this role, you will be working primarily in early years, supporting the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, implementing educational activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere.

The ofsted rated good school is at the heart of a caring community. The school has a selection of resources available across the school which allow staff to provide all children with a varied, exciting curriculum.

This position is available from January 2024 and offers a long-term opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking for a committed individual who is able to build positive relationships with both students and colleagues, and who can demonstrate patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Key requirements for this role include:

– Relevant experience working with young learners, preferably in an educational setting

– A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

– The ability to work effectively as part of a team

– A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students’ individual needs

– Knowledge and understanding of the early year’s curriculum

The school offer a competitive starting from £75 per day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
