We’re looking for a supportive and collaborative teaching assistant at this 2-form entry primary school, which has been rapidly enhancing its reputation under the new Senior Leadership Team. The school prides itself on creating and maintaining an inclusive and dedicated ethos for both staff and pupils, and providing a stimulating and positive learning environment for all.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a child in the Year 2 class who requires assistance with behaviour and focus within the classroom. The pupil needs specialised support in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and autism. The ideal candidate for this position will be diligent, compassionate, and dedicated to helping the child thrive academically and socially.
Effective communication skills are essential for this role, as you will collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents. A solid understanding of the national curriculum will also be beneficial in providing tailored support to the child.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
