Full time TA

Job Description

We are delighted to be working with a warm and inclusive primary school in Northfield to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated Resource Base team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs in a nurturing, structured environment.

The school’s Resource Base offers specialist provision for children with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, and physical disabilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting both the learning and emotional development of pupils, working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support staff to ensure every child receives the individualised support they need to thrive.

In this role, you will work directly with pupils on both a one-to-one and small group basis, helping to deliver personalised learning activities, build independence, and support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will also assist in preparing classroom resources, managing the learning environment, and promoting a calm and inclusive atmosphere throughout the day.

We are looking for someone who holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) and has experience working with children with additional needs, ideally within a primary school or specialist setting. You will need to be patient, reliable, and confident in supporting a wide range of needs, including communication, sensory regulation, and personal care where necessary.

This position is a full-time, term-time only role running for the entire academic year, and the school is seeking someone who can fully commit to their team and the children they support.

If you are a caring and resilient individual who is ready to make a lasting difference in children’s lives, we would love to hear from you. Please send your updated CV to charlie@zesteducation.co.uk and one of the team will be in touch
