Job Description

Full-time Teaching Assistant.

Are you passionate about education and working with children? Do you have recent school-based experience? Zest Education are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a special educational needs school located in Dudley. The school would love the candidate to start in January 2024 which will continue on a long-term basis.

The school caters for children from the age of five to thirteen with moderate educational difficulties some of the children have additional physical, sensory, and autistic conditions. Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with special educational needs.

The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the heart of what they do. The school also supports training and development for all staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join the team.

The promotion of independence, creativity, community skills, and challenge are seen as central to all the teaching within this school. The chosen candidate will be required to work in several classrooms, supporting children with their day-to-day activities. You must be able to work on your own initiative and have good communication skills.

The role:

  • Must have experience working with special educational needs or in a similar setting
  • You will be working alongside the class teacher, preparing learning resources and maintain the classroom to a high standard
  • This school caters for a variety of ages, so you must be adaptable to meet each individuals needs
