Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual support strategies.

  • Building positive, trusting relationships with the children you are supporting.

  • Supporting with transitions and ensuring a calm, safe learning environment.

  • Promoting independence and social interaction within the classroom.

  • Providing feedback and observations to staff and external professionals as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 childcare qualification

  • Previous experience working with children with additional and/or behavioural needs.

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic nature.

  • The ability to remain consistent, fair, and positive when faced with challenges.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children to thrive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their career working in SEND support or for someone with experience who is looking for a fulfilling and rewarding role within a lovely school community.
