About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced class teachers to support the delivery of engaging and accessible lessons across a range of year groups. You will also be responsible for delivering targeted intervention sessions to help pupils reach their individual goals, particularly in literacy and numeracy.

Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach are essential to supporting pupils effectively and building strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the teacher in planning and delivering high-quality lessons

  • Providing one-to-one and small group interventions to pupils who require additional support

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy

  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

  • Promoting positive social interactions and emotional wellbeing among pupils

  • Supporting children with additional needs, both academically and pastorally

What We’re Looking For:

  • A reliable and passionate individual with a genuine interest in working with children

  • A good working knowledge of the primary school curriculum

  • Ability to foster strong relationships with children, staff, and parents

  • Confidence in supporting children with different learning needs and abilities

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is essential

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8:30am to 3:35pm

  • Term-time only
