A popular special educational needs secondary school located in Nuneaton  is recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible.

This school caters for students from the age of six to seventeen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). You will be required to work alongside the class teacher to ensure that the students have a good understanding of what is expected of them. You will be working with the students 1:1 and in small groups, so it is important you have a flexible approach.

The school is improving within academic and attainment levels and is continually looking to ensure their students develop into respectable and inspiring individuals. This position is due to start as soon as possible and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year, on a full-time basis.

The role:

  • You have previous experience of supporting individuals with special educational needs
  • You will need to be creative in the classroom and be able to offer engaging support to the class teacher and students.
  • You will be offered a great support network within school and any in-house training will be included.
