Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant special educational needs school in Tamworth.

As a Teaching Assistant working within a special educational needs school, you will have the opportunity to support students aged 11-19 with Autism (ASC) in various key stages. Your role will involve working closely with individuals who have unique learning needs related to social interaction, communication, and emotional understanding.

Key responsibilities include:
– Acting as a positive role model and providing direct support to students with special educational needs
– Building strong professional relationships with pupils and fellow staff members
– Providing 1:1 support and assistance in small groups
– Collaborating with the class teacher to facilitate learning activities and maintain an inclusive classroom environment

The successful candidate will possess:
– Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse learning requirements
– Reliability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting student development
