Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Lichfield
Start Date: February 2026 (Spring term, with the possibility of extension)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

As a result, this opportunity is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who wants to make a meaningful impact.
We are looking for a committed full-time Teaching Assistant who can join the school in February 2026. You will support teaching and learning throughout the first term of the new year, and the role may extend beyond this period depending on the school’s needs. From the outset, you will work closely with class teachers, and you will actively contribute to pupils’ progress by delivering targeted support and encouraging a positive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils during whole-class lessons as well as small-group activities
Working with the teacher to plan and deliver engaging learning tasks
Promoting positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, focused classroom
Supporting children with additional needs so they can fully participate in lessons
Preparing resources and helping ensure daily routines run smoothly
The successful candidate will bring:
A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent course
Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting
A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to pupil development
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Patience, empathy, and an understanding of individual learning needs
Flexibility, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
