Full-time Teaching Assistant.

Zest Education are proud to be working with a special educational needs school located in the Walsall area. The school is in need of a full-time Teaching Assistant, this role is to start October 2022. This school caters for students aged eleven to nineteen with severe and profound complex learning difficulties. Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with special educational needs.

The school itself is a popular SEN school which encourages all children to develop into independent, respectful, and confident individuals. All classes are divided based on the child’s learning needs, therefore receive the apocopate teaching approach. You may be required to work across all classes, so you must be able to adapt to each individual child’s needs. The school ensures that each class does not exceed nine students and maintain a high level of staff.

The role:

  • You have previous experience working in a special educational needs environment or in a similar setting
  • You support the children to learn as effectively as possible in small groups and individually
  • You will be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
