Full-time Teaching Assistant.

Zest Education are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a brilliant SEND school located in Rugeley. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 15:30pm, this position is due to begin October 2022.

The school caters for children from the age of four to thirteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The successful candidate must have previous experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or have experience in a similar environment.

This school’s focus is to build each individual students’ confidence, self-esteem, and resilience in order that they become independent learners. You will be required to work with the students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting with all areas of the curriculum and encouraging independence where possible.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, be eager to learn, have a positive attitude and work well as part of a team. You will be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils and provide exceptional learning and support.

The role:

  • You will be supporting students with a variety of needs and ages so it is important that you are able to who can adapt your practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages
  • You must have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or experience in a care environment
  • You will be working alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
