Full-Time Teaching Assistant Position

Job Description

Zest Education is delighted to be working with a fantastic school in Tamworth, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join their team. This role requires the successful candidate to work 5 days a week across Monday to Friday

As a teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher across all year groups. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance.
2. Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
3. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Supporting students with their social and emotional development.
5. Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
6. Collaborating with the teaching staff to develop tailored teaching resources.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
1. Relevant experience working with primary school students.
2. An understanding of the national curriculum and teaching methodologies.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
5. A compassionate and patient approach towards children’s learning.
6. The ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive school environment.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
