Zest Education is currently recruiting for a full-time Year 1 Teacher position for the upcoming summer term at a primary school in Tamworth. They are seeking a dedicated individual with expertise in Read Write Ink and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching young learners. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the education journey of these impressionable minds.
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for managing a full class of eager students. Your main objective will be to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic growth and personal development. We value creativity, innovation, and a genuine love for teaching, as these qualities inspire students to become lifelong learners.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of young learners. Your ability to engage students through dynamic teaching methods, while also focusing on individual progress, will be essential. Previous experience with Read Write Ink is highly desirable, as this phonics program is an integral part of our curriculum.
This is a temporary position that will extend until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension for the ideal candidate.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a QTS and have experience working in Y1. Your passion for education, coupled with your ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues, will ensure a successful and rewarding tenure.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
