Position Overview: Zest are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to our Year 5 students, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of Year 5 students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to effectively deliver the curriculum, including technology-enhanced learning tools.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, assessment strategies, and enrichment activities.
  • Establish strong communication channels with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (KS2), preferably in Year 5.
  • Sound knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and proficiency in planning and delivering lessons aligned with curriculum objectives.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time position, starting in September 2024.
  • Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
