General Teaching Assistant (KS2)

Job Description

Zest Education is on the hunt for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school in Cannock. This primary school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join a successful team of colleagues from September 2024 to work in upper Key Stage 2.

This Primary School continues to be a good school. Expectations are high and academic standards are strong. Community-minded and thoughtful leadership ensures that staff and pupils are happy in their work.

Teaching Assistant – General level 2

Full time – Fixed term

Start and end date – 1st September 2024 – 18th July 2025

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the SENDCo and class teacher to implement work programmes with both individuals and small groups of pupils.

The successful candidate must:

– demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting strategies to   support the work of the teacher and include achievement of all pupils including where appropriate those with SEND needs

– be committed to raising achievements for all children

– be flexible and adaptable to work in different situations

– be able to work as part of a team

– have a friendly and caring nature

– be organised and have good interpersonal and communication skills

– hold NVQ 2 for teaching assistants

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
