Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Geography Teacher to join a secondary school located in the Erdington area. This is a part-time position (0.6) starting in January 2025, with a minimum duration of 8 weeks.

Responsibilities:
– Planning and delivering exciting and engaging Geography lessons to secondary school students.
– Inspiring and motivating students to develop a love for Geography through creative and interactive teaching methods.
– Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, particularly those for whom English is an additional language.
– Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and setting targets for improvement.
– Collaborating with colleagues to create cross-curricular opportunities and contributing to the development of the Humanities department.

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
– Specialization in Geography or a related subject.
– Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging and varied lessons.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
– Dedication to promoting inclusion and creating a nurturing learning environment.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
