Zest Education are looking to recruit a confident, enthusiastic, and committed individual to join a successful Humanities department as a Geography teacher. This is a full-time role due to commence in January 2025, and has the potential to run for the full academic year. This post is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECT’s.
The Secondary School, located near the Halesowen area, is looking for a candidate who shares their vision of creating a positive, supportive, and enthusiastic environment in which young people can thrive and achieve their potential. The school has an established and successful Humanities department, who pride themselves on delivering innovative and engaging lessons to their students. The successful candidate will, therefore, have thorough knowledge of the Geography and Humanities curriculum.
The school is also based in an ideal location, with easily accessible public transport links and onsite parking available.
Successful candidates will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong enthusiasm for the subject of Geography and the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons
- Excellent knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum (KS5 is not essential but is desirable)
- A team ethos and the ability to build strong and professional relationships with both colleagues and pupils
- Experience in classroom and behaviour management
