Geography Teacher – Sutton Coldfield

Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield. The school have asked us to find a Geography teacher, that can teach across KS3-KS4. This is a full-time position that will start in September 2024, this will  be for a minimum of 6 weeks, with the high potential to be extended.

This “Outstanding” Ofsted rated school is based in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The school set high standards and expectations for their pupils, to excel in their academic attainments, they do this be creating a fun and positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be joining a supportive departmental team and they will have access to good indoor and outdoor facilities to allow for creative lessons.

The successful Geography Teacher will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for the subject of Geography and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
