Teacher of Geography

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Tyseley, Birmingham. The position is available on a full time basis, working within a supportive Humanities department. As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to students up to KS4 level. The successful candidate will have a passion for Geography and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. The role is due to commence in January 2025 and will run for a minimum of one term.

Key Responsibilities:

– Planning and delivering Geography lessons for KS4 students
– Assessing and marking student work
– Monitoring and supporting the progress of students
– Collaborating with colleagues in the Humanities department
– Participating in departmental meetings and school events as required

Qualifications and Skills:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Strong subject knowledge in Geography or a related Humanities subject
– Experience teaching Geography or Humanities at KS4 level
– Excellent communication and organisational skills
– Ability to create a positive learning environment for students
