Are you a recent university graduate seeking valuable classroom-based experience? Zest Education is actively seeking enthusiastic and driven graduates to take on roles as cover supervisors in schools within the South Birmingham area starting from April 2024. If you reside in Small Heath, Northfield, Marston Green or surronding areas, exciting opportunities await you.
Numerous graduates who started as cover supervisors in our schools have gone on to successfully complete their teacher training, making this an excellent avenue to gain experience and determine the right path for your career.
The Role: Graduate Cover Supervisor
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will collaborate with our secondary schools to deliver pre-planned lessons to groups of students aged 11-18. All assignments will be pre-planned by the class teacher or another faculty member within the school. Your responsibilities will include delivering these lessons to students, managing their behavior, and providing feedback to relevant staff members.
To excel in this role, we seek graduates who have completed their course within the last 2 years OR individuals with a minimum of 20 days or more of experience working with children and/or young people. This opportunity serves as an excellent entry point for those aspiring to pursue a career in teaching.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
