Zest Education has fantastic opportunities for graduates to work as Cover Supervisors in Secondary Schools across South Birmingham. Located in areas such as Kings Heath, Kings Norton, Moseley, and Solihull, these schools are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team starting from September and continuing throughout the academic year.
As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to oversee students in the absence of their regular teacher. You will be delivering engaging pre-planned lessons to groups of 11-18 year old students, ensuring they stay focused, manage classroom behavior, and provide necessary feedback to school staff. While prior teaching experience is not required, having at least 20 days of experience working with children or young people is beneficial. This role serves as an excellent stepping stone for those interested in pursuing a career in teaching.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
