Zest Education are working with a large secondary school in South Birmingham, close to Harborne. The school have asked us to find a Health and Social care teacher, that can teach across KS3 -KS5. You would be working up to 3 days a week of your choosing, the position will start in April 2022 and continue until the summer holidays, however for the right candidate, this is likely to be extended.

The school is situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive departmental team and they will have access to good indoor and outdoor facilities to allow for creative lessons. The school set high standards and expectations for their pupils, to excel in their academic attainments, they do this be creating a fun and positive learning environment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Health and Social care and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS5
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
