Health and Social Care Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is working closely with a school in the Sutton Coldfield area to recruit for a full time Health and Social Care teacher, starting September 2024 for a minimum of one half term.

The school’s ethos centres itself around the school community, helping students achieve their ambitions while learning how to treat their peers with respect and kindness. Has excellent public transport links and also offers onsite parking should there be a need for it.

The ideal candidate should have excellent classroom, behaviour management skills and a passion for the subject of Health and Social Care. Knowledge at KS4 and KS5 is essential with Health and social care being took up by a vast majority of students at A level.

The successful applicant will have:
  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Health and Social care and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
