Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in Birmingham, close to the City Centre. The school have asked for our help in finding a History teacher to teach across KS3 and KS4, the position will be full time, and will start in September 2022, this will be for a minimum of one term, but is highly likely to be extended for the right candidate.
The school is situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The school’s ethos is to support and encourage all their pupils to make great personal and academic progress during their time in education. The successful candidate will also be joining a well-supported departmental team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of History and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
Rate of pay will vary depending on experience.
