History Teacher – Sutton Coldfield

Are you passionate about education and working with children? Do you have recent school-based experience?

Zest Education are looking for a History Teacher, that can teach across KS3 – KS4, in a large secondary school in Sutton Coldfield.  The position will start February 2024, this will continue for the rest of the academic year, full time.

The school is situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The school is a busy secondary which caters for a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL students, the school has a supportive and inclusive ethos across all year groups. The successful candidate will be joining a well-supported departmental team that focuses on creating a safe and enjoyable environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
• A strong passion for the subject of History and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
• A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
• The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
• Strong classroom and behaviour management

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Rate of pay will vary depending on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
