Zest Education are working with a secondary school in the Walsall area who are looking to recruit a history teacher to join their team. This is a full-time role starting in September 2022 for one academic term.

The school, part of a multi-trust academy, aim to provide a learning environment where everyone enjoys coming to school every day and strive to maximise achievement and remove any barriers to learning.

The curriculum is coherently planned and sequenced so that new knowledge and skills are built on what has been taught before, striving towards clearly defined end points. It is successfully adapted, designed, and developed for all students, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and EAL students, so they can all engage fully in the curriculum. The school have also made sure the curriculum addresses gaps in students’ knowledge and skills, especially those that have arisen as a result of the pandemic.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of history and able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS5
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
