Humanities Teacher

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Humanities Teacher to join the team at a prestigious school in Burton on Trent, starting from January 2025. As a Humanities Teacher, you will have the opportunity to shape young minds and inspire a love for subjects such as Religious Education (RE), History, and Geography.

 Key Responsibilities:

– Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in RE, History, and Geography to students across various age groups.

– Create and implement curriculum plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.

– Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support to encourage their academic growth.

– Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to foster student interest and understanding of the humanities disciplines.

– Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives.

– Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions as required.

 Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

– Demonstrable knowledge and experience in teaching at least two humanities disciplines; RE, History, an Geography.

– Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to create engaging lesson plans and assessments.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

– A commitment to continuously develop your teaching practice and stay up-to-date with the latest educational trends and methodologies.

– Genuine passion for humanities subjects and the ability to inspire students to become lifelong learners.
