ICT Teacher – Burton-on-Trent

Job Description

A secondary school based in Burton-on-Trent are looking for a Full-time ICT Teacher to start in April 2024. This is a great opportunity to work within a school looking to improve upon all aspects whilst maintaining a friendly school environment.

Ideally the school would like the successful candidate to be creative and be able to deliver engaging lessons to their students. The successful candidate will be joining a very hardworking department and would be supported by an excellent senior leadership team.

This opportunity would allow the successful applicant to work within a dynamic inner-city school who have a growing reputation for providing all children with access to a creative and engaging curriculum. This school caters for a broad range of students including a high number of EAL pupils.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of ICT and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
