Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in North Birmingham, close to Sutton Coldfield, the school have asked for our help in finding an ICT teacher, that can teach across KS3 – KS5. The position will be full time and will start in October 2022, this will be to cover a long-term maternity leave until summer 2023.

This “Good” Ofsted rated school is situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport, the school also offers good indoor and outdoor facilities, to allow for fun and engaging lessons. The successful candidate will also be joining a well-supported and inclusive departmental team, that put the students at the centre of everything they do.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of ICT and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 to KS5.
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
